Born 1986 in Medan (Indonesia), Aras Darmawan is a motion designer/director currently based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. A sense of obliteration, sophisticated-formlessness, and inoperative imagery could be identified within the style of his works. As the adventurous playground of idea, visual, sound, space, and time excites him more than anything, he constantly expanding his skill set and trying to aim perfection while still maintains realistic orientation.

On the personal side, he loves doing experiments and creating his own projects to simply express his frame of mind. On the commercial side, he has worked as a team or on his own producing works for amazing clients such as Nike, MTV, G4TV, O’Neill, KPN, Chello/UPC, Lucas Bols, Sony, and Nickelodeon.

In September 08 he received his B.A degree together with his graduation film, Gaganeswara screened and featured in several festivals worldwide.
